Finally going to put that master's to work. ABOUT TIME!
I am having a highly lazy day. I have not showered. I do not plan to shower. My roommate is in Israel (for at least another 11 day!), so I am taking advantage of the quiet. I have been cooking more than usual (in fact, I just ate nachos for lunch, yum yum!) and cleaning a lot and sleeping with the door open and napping on the sofa… Been lovely. But besides that, I am taking advantage of my last weekday at home with nothing to do. Why is it my last, you ask?
I GOT A JOB.
Yes. Yes. A job. Not one that involves saying, “How can I help you?” (Disclaimer: I have total respect for everyone who works a full time retail job, BELIEVE ME. It’s just not for me.) It’s not the greatest job, and the pay is shit (except I get overtime), but it’s SOMETHING, and it’s a foot in the door, and I can hardly believe it. Hasn’t quite sunk in yet. It might on Monday, when I start. I will be doing research (and admin stuff, but whatever) for a very popular cable network. Wheeeeee!
So, when I accepted the offer on Friday, I did what I had planned on doing—I bought an iPod mini. It’s blue! It has my initials on it! I have been uploading and downloading music like a fiend for the past couple of days. SQUEE! Now I just need to get some headphones, because I hate earbuds. Soon, soon.
So… that’s the news. Nothing much else going on, really. This is certainly more than enough for now.
